New Las Vegas Boulevard Landmark! Y Optics Creates 180-Foot Icon!

The intersection located at the junction of Las Vegas Boulevard and Flamingo Road is undoubtedly one of the busiest intersections in the United States. Since mid-December 2022, Bally’s, located at the intersection, has officially been renamed Horseshoe. In the following period of time, the Horseshoe Las Vegas Boulevard Resort has also begun the process of upgrading and rebuilding.

YAHAM Optoelectronics has also been invited to participate in the reconstruction of the outdoor display screen project. The client’s requirement is to create a Las Vegas light and shadow art new landmark with artistic and commercial value. Prior to the upgrade, the client used a combination of traditional small-sized displays and outdoor billboards, which fell far behind in attracting users compared to the current large outdoor LED screens of the same type.

The project consists of over 60,000 display modules and marks another appearance of the YAHAM DT16 specification display screen after the LV63 project. Technically, the display screen protection level can reach IP65. The project uses the latest SMD technology, which can achieve high-definition, high-brightness, and high-contrast display effects, and is very energy-saving and environmentally friendly.

Due to a series of issues such as cumbersome replacement and aging failure of the previous display screens, the client has high requirements for the quality of the new display screen. YAHAM Optoelectronics’ S1 series products perfectly meet the client’s expectations. The new landmark is composed of three screens, with a total height of 180 feet and a display area of up to 17,000 square feet.
