How can large highway VMS deliver strong performance while keeping energy use
low?
In Hungary, EN12966-certified VMS were recently deployed, designed with both
high visibility and energy efficiency in mind.
Project Specs
Pixel pitch: 20mm lens type
Size per VMS: 7680W × 1600H mm
Brightness: up to 12,400 nits
Low Power & Smart Features
Independent cabinet power control – reduces overall energy consumption
Sleep mode – black areas consume nearly zero watts
Environmental monitoring – brightness, temperature & humidity
Advanced checks – single pixel fault & door-open detection
This project shows how intelligent design helps achieve clear communication, lower
energy costs, and easier maintenance for highway operators.
We’re excited to continue exploring more low-power smart traffic solutions with
partners across Europe and worldwide.
